THAT GIRL

From the first time I saw her taking the dog out for a walk
Till those ping pong evenings played out in the mess
I was blind to see, what I had in front of me
Then she moved away to another part of town
Then it hit that she wasn’t around anymore
No more walks up Alexander Street
Though just a phone call away,
I never had enough to say
Soon enough her father put that to rest too

That Girl, man, she makes me crazy
That Girl, thought I’d never get her of my mind
That Girl, made me see everything so hazy
That Girl, ooh – I was so blind

Now and then I get to see her when she comes this side of town
My little piece of heaven, Oh baby come on and blow my mind?
Your sweet blue eyes, Your beautiful smile
Do you know you’re a sweet little thing?
You sweet little thing wont you come and set me free?

That Girl, man, she makes me crazy
That Girl, thought I’d never get her of my mind
That Girl, made me see everything so hazy
That Girl, ooh – I was so blind

In life, you get things you can dodge
Or things you can just go around
But she ain’t anything like that now
Oh baby come on now – lets get it on
It’s the only way out, don’t you see?

That Girl, man, she makes me crazy
That Girl, thought I’d never get her of my mind
That Girl, made me see everything so hazy
That Girl, ooh – I was so blind
