When the scene's over (The Movie Song)

You better get out of here before this place falls to the ground
True love is a waste trapped in dead bodies lying around
You can make out under the beauty of the bright blue sky
Expect the rain at the meeting of your lips and time that just flies by

But then love, again, is a very strange thing indeed
It's simply no use to go all out and let your heart bleed
The Universe awards true noble chivalry
So serenade her outside her window in the morning at the dot of three
And tell me when the scene's over, and we go back to reality

The world is a scary place when you're the only one who dares
You can step right up and everyone will accept you with grace
Grab the keys and single-handedly make it a better place
Let ego be the bitch and become the monster that you made

Every now and then, the world comes down to this
You've got you, yourself, what your hands can hold and that's about it
Scram for the door and make your way right outta town
Another hero-turned-monster havoc till a new hero's found
And when the scene's over, the real hero comes around
Your day will come to be one of the chosen few
Just remember that it's always never only about you
There'll be an entire world at stake only you were meant to save
Without warning, it's an honour you've got to take

When are you going to crash my wedding and sweep me off my feet?
I ran from the old man with a shovel with the scary bearded face
Based on a phone tipoff from a hooded masked man with a strangely familiar voice who told me to run, run, run and not wait to smell my own fear

Now's the time to ask if you've learnt your lesson yet
The creaking door, the footsteps coming, the crazy feeling inside your head
Take a leaf out of all the movies you have seen
You know what's gonna happen, trust your instinct and get out clean
And when the scene's over, we step into the real scene

Livin' on a happy tune

When I'm down in a moment of gloom
Oh, a song sweeps into the room
Telling me, "It's gonna be alright. Just lay your head down, close your eyes and shut out the cold, cold mood."

When the sun's shining, on the other side of town
And it's all too much to wrap my head around
There comes a song with a great big smile, making me cheer up, helplessly.

Oh, there's always a song rustling in the leaves, riding with the breeze, shining down on me
It keeps the world spinning along, right on track, livin' on a happy tune

When the day has done gone grey
And the clouds shoo the light away
A beam of hope breaks on through
A song that takes away the bad, bad groove

When the night is dark and cold,
When the morning's due, God only knows
A warm, soothing breeze brings fuzzy feet
A song of comfort, putting me at ease

Oh, there's always a song rustling in the leaves, riding with the breeze, shining down on me
It keeps the world spinning along, right on track, livin' on a happy tune

If soul is dry and dreary, and you are oh so weary
If you think you're the only one, who's got the blues, raining down
Lean out your window
Put your ear to the ground
Take a deep breath
Soak it in
Join the world, livin' on a happy tune
