Evolute

All that around you, you can see
It’s got order and classification
You’ve got to look deep inside to see that it’s a case of quite some complication
It has traits that even you can trace to roots that show anything but a creator’s demarcation
How on Earth can you say it was made ready to roll when it couldn’t simply be snapped into existence?

Evolute now (Say what?!)
Evolute now
Dude, you gotta check it out

I can’t deny what I can’t miss seeing
I can’t miss that I am the one I am being
It’s one thing if it’s clearly seen
It’s another thing if it takes more than a peek
How, pray tell, do you suggest
That we put a theory of origin to the test
By the best plausible solution that we see
Or the other possibilities that may very well be

Evolute now? (Na Na?!)
Evolute now
But...

Possibilities that may very well be?
Isn’t what is whatever we see?
How else do we know something is true
Unless to its form you have a complete clue
What do you do about unexplained observations
That you claim are the basis of your ridiculous proclamations
I don’t have a clue, pretty enough
One that can be scientifically as tough
No formula, no clue, no sign, no comprehension
Only the unknowable magnificence which is your theory of origin
The effect ain’t all, you gotta have the cause
With its ins and outs that’s worth a thought pause
You gotta have a complete answer, if you want to be a noticeable dancer
To show that some mysterious being, was the one who did it all, someone who is all seeing

Evolute now (Say what?!)
Evolute now
Dude, you gotta check it out

The answer ain’t always the one that’ll stand
It’ll never really be the one that’s all that grand
Just ask the questions of the soul
That’s if you believe in one that makes you whole
I don’t propose philosophy of destiny or fate
But the ones that the questions inside dictate
Without them, you’re nothing but an advanced animal
You may go ahead and tell me how you don’t think that possible
Also tell me of value, that’s imbibed
Value at where you draw the line
If it’s value you don’t have, then what directs your actions?
What makes you choose and defend your reactions?
To be conscious and to able to choose
To take something, and the other to lose
Do you not see that you are exactly that
The centre of whom your actions are at
Your value begs more, in its detailed work
than reproduction of atoms, merely by their function
I don’t mean by moralistic proportions
If you don’t get morals, you won’t understand the notion
I mean value that makes you what you are
Not just any old thing by far

Evolute now? (Na Na?!)
Evolute now
But...

What value, where do you mean
That stuff is nothing I believe, it can’t be seen
It’s all just a matter of perception
Those rules, values, morals & apprehensions
All that is simply subjective comprehension
A society’s way of life & order
Which at best keeps ourselves from crossing the border
of anger, hate and extreme disorder
These things are no signs from above
Of some divine Being, made out of love
They are just illusions of the mind
We make these rules, each our own kind
There is nobody up above
Nobody’s hands I was created from
I’m just a functional unit, a product of a process
Not too much too brag about, a product of many tosses
A result of chance, a child of probability
Sustained by ability to exist in hostility

Evolute now (Say what?!)
Evolute now
Dude, you gotta check it out

If you’re a mere product, by far
Constructed by things that make you what you are
Not more, not less, no supernaturality
No fuss over your creation but pure functionality
What do you say of things non-physical?
Of things that present themselves unequivo(vo)cal
That you subject to being subjective
When your life is run by them in every other way
And you say it’s a social line you draw, well ok
Then let’s draw at will, what do you say
and make other’s throats and lives a choice
we can very well make like it’s our right
God eat dog ain’t a pretty sight
Even when you are on the good sight of the might
Think of all the dreams you’d squash and burn
Think if they were yours and if they were burned
Even then if don’t you don’t feel the pinch
Of snatching someone’s life away, even that much of an inch
I see where you get your philosophy from
From some theory that you’re an evolutionary bum
If the power to kill and take away, you run
Imagine if you were on the other side of the fun
Not a pretty sight, you must admit
While you sit on a pretty throne you think you fit

Evolute now? (Na Na?!)
Evolute now
But...

I didn’t make the rules any how
That just seems the way that it is now
I’m trying to make the best of the situation
To do my best to get out alive
I do very much feel the pain
I know what it is to keep myself sane
And keep at the game till I die
To stay as much I can, happy inside
I don’t have a chance better than you
Neither you a chance better than I
We try, we sigh, but we cannot, otherwise, sway
The hand that death has over our way
We’re bound to die, and some say try till you die
Some of us wonder why we should even try
I don’t know where I am in between
I wonder if I can possibly get ahead of my scene
There is no hope, we are children of doom
We are bound to face it, some time or the other, but soon
With nothing to fight with, stuck in a mire
Of despair and the drought of visions to aspire
With no clue of the source of their desire
It seems our thing to dream them up with fire

Evolute now (Say what?!)
Evolute now
Dude, you gotta check it out

If there is hope, there must be some order
Held together by something above the disorder
If it is indeed chaos and confusion
Then I may assume your conclusion
That doom that awaits every one alive
That there may be indeed no purpose to survive
But for the sake of your dreams, visions, hope and aspirations
So that it won’t kill you when you kill them silently
Hope we must, if we don’t anyway,
Hope, for then you won’t have any hope at all
To shoot in the dark is a much better shot
When it just won’t do, whatever you got
For if there is hope then we must get where it is at
Else we’d best throw our efforts out in a sack

Evolute now? (Na Na?!)
Evolute now
But...

Now you see exactly what I mean
There is no hope, doom is gonna wipe us all clean
We’re living in the middle of this great big mess
But we can make the best of it, none the less
Just live it to the brim till it all gives way
Till chaos and confusion gets its way
Till then to survive, let’s keep our fingers crossed
Then on to fate, we shall be lost
At the mercy of God knows what
No chance to even count the cost
Nowhere to make an honest plea against
Nothing holding it together, that we can know for a fact

Evolute now (Say what?!)
Evolute now
Dude, you gotta check it out

If that’s the end that you’d prefer to see
It only seems so inadvertently
If you know oh-so-much about your doom
Then why don’t you give into it, as soon
Why do you try, try, try and reach
With ever effervescence, that peak
That you draw from your notion of how
Your life should be at this moment right now
I wonder how you easily throw aside
These precious notions that give you pride
While you strive to achieve them at the same time
It’s a self defeating battle you’ve designed to lose
You’ll only end up, with yourself abused

Evolute now? (Na Na?!)
Evolute now
But...

Inadvertently, puh-lease
You get your answers from the breeze
There’s none blowing where I come from
If there was, I’d let it blow on by
If there’s a power somewhere, a power indeed
I’d only believe it if it brings me to my knees
Otherwise I just do what I please
Right now, the powers that I see to be
Don’t have a heart like the ones you see
They are ruthless, heartless, cold and mean
If it is a man, he’s the worst I’ve seen
There is no hope, of that I am sure
Except that which we can conjure
Let’s live with that peace till we all go
Not think it’s a farce and take it to heart
And spread a little a love around, for what it‘s worth
That should do the trick to avoid any hurt

Evolute now (Say what?!)
Evolute now
Dude, you gotta check it out

The magical world that you wish to dream of
Is of false hope that’s more real, I see
False hope that you openly admit
But what else, you say, can one see fit
Well, if you wanna hit the roof with your imagination
You can go with a freefall situation
Or A sweet bopping bouncy ride
That does in no way hurt your pride
How don’t you consider among those
A possibility that I permanently propose
That there’s an end to reach and much more beyond
Which is why you drive to and strive so hard
To be the inescapable you, you simply must
If you don’t, the you in you will just gather dust
And the you, being you, will go on a kick ass ride
In which all your efforts won’t get put to the side
There is no doom but a glorious end
Unlike the morbid end that you suggest
Driven and created by the Man up above
Who would not do it unless He was not Love
A ridiculous proposition, yes
I know you don’t get the notion
I can’t show you that just has to hold good
I’d let God be God and do His thing
If He’s as big as He is, which He is alright,
He will show you himself in His perfect light
Through me, by Himself or though this song
For you to to decide it’s only your call
Since He is the designer of this all
He must be the man above us all
I strongly suggest you give into the concept
Atleast consider that it be put to test
Give it a proper chance to make its impression last
It just maybe the answer that to the question that you ask
It’s got a lot more hope, more than you see
In the light of the world’s reality
Even if you don’t see it, it’s worth the shot
If it’s worth, the idea’s worth to be bought
If it's Hope on the mind and joy in the heart,
What do you suggest for a better start?

Evolute now? (Na Na?!)

THESE WORDS ARE REAL

Jesus, He came to save me
He said, "Believe in me and I will set you free
I have the power over everything
Believe in me and you will see
No more pain, No more suffering
No more tears, No more misery
You don’t have to be a prisoner anymore
The blood I shed for you has set you free."
If you’d ask me for a guarantee
Because a guarantee you have not yet seen
I’d tell you go on and trust in Him
Because I’ve known, yes I know
I know because I’ve seen
I’ve seen enough to tell you that…

These words are real
These words are true
They give me power
Lord, I believe in you
They give me life, life abundantly
They give me victory, beyond my wildest dreams
They give me joy, everlasting joy
They give me peace, peace so wonderful
They give me hope, hope by all means
They give me grace, grace that makes me see that
The King of Kings is alive
The King of Kings is alive
Yes, The King of Kings is alive
He has come to set me free.

Jesus, He came to save me
He said, "Go on and tell the world that I have set you free
Show them the power of my promises
Show them the peace that I can bring
Show them love, the love that I bring
Show them how it conquers everything
Let them see the power that I gave you
Let them see the dreams that have come true
Let my light shine so bright
That they wont be able to avoid the light."
You know, yes you know
You know because you’ve seen
You’ve seen enough to shout out loud…

These words are real
These words are true
They give me power
Lord, I believe in you
They give me life, life abundantly
They give me victory, beyond my wildest dreams
They give me joy, everlasting joy
They give me peace, peace so wonderful
They give me hope, hope by all means
They give me grace, grace that makes me see that
The King of Kings is alive
The King of Kings is alive
Yes, The King of Kings is alive
He has come to set me free.

Crazy Game Of Two

People holding hands
I just don't understand
What the fuss is all about
It's everywhere, sometimes I just want to scream and shout

"Like, seriously what's the scene?
Get a room, if you know what I mean
It's getting kinda stuffy
You know, I ain't so fluffy"

But Time did show that the heart, it, fonder grows
Of all this fluffy stuff
And then it all adds up

Soon you're in deep
Coz your knees got weak
Then, if you know what I mean,
You just can't speak

Can somebody, somebody tell me,what this is about
Sometimes I feel like a sitting duck, knee deep in a lot of muck
Somebody, somebody please give me a clue
Tell me what to do in this crazy game of two

So onto the bandwagon I jumped
Landed with a big hard thump
Started thinking I was crazy
But the fuss was worth it, just maybe

Many faces has come and gone
Passed me by and kept traveling on
Nobility, good looks and charm
Just didn't get you one on your arm

Soon enough, I was taking the plunge
Popping the question and realised I was down a dung-eon of
"It's not you. It's me. I'm sure you'll find many other fish in the sea."

And I'm like, "Baby, do you want me or not?
Look me in the eye. Is there someone better you got?
Take a good hard look before you finally go ahead and shut the door."

Can somebody, somebody tell me,what this is about
Sometimes I feel like a sitting duck, knee deep in a lot of muck
Somebody, somebody please give me a clue
Tell me what to do in this crazy game of two

Like DUDE

I got up in the morning, all fresh and free
Went out in the world, thinking I could just be me
I was doing my thing, strutting my stuff
When somebody caught me, redhanded like he had a handcuff
He was like, “Yo! What’s the scene with you? All acting up like the way you do?”
I said, "It's me, yo! Just doing my thing. Nothin’ special. No secrecy”
“It ain’t cool”, he said and I asked, “Why?”
“It just is”, he said and then really replied…

It just is and why so God only knows
Don’t ask, just do what they taught you to
Who taught? Where & When? There is no clue
Like DUDE!!!

Maybe next time I’ll remember how
To follow these rules and fit in the crowd
But I’d first give myself a reality check
To remind myself to go, “What the heck?”
“This shit ain’t cool. It’s like you’ve been schooled.
To be somebody, you could never ever be.
Coz you never really found your self out, you see
When you were born they took by the horns
And they dunked you in a pond

It just is and why so God only knows
Don’t ask, just do what they taught you to
Who taught? Where & When? There is no clue
Like DUDE!!!

SWEET LITTLE CHILD

Sweet Little Child
Don’t you stop running wild
Show me the real way to be free
Sweet Little Child
Who knows no fear or sorrow
Who’s not worried about tomorrow
What will be

Sweet Little Child
Don’t let anybody tell you
That running wild
Is not what you should do
Sweet Little Child
You were born to be free

Sweet Little Child
You’re young and you’re so free
You can be what you want to be
Sweet Little Child
Dream your dreams and dream them well
Don’t you ever be scared to tell anybody
‘Bout the magnificent scenes that you see in your head

Sweet Little Child
The world is yours to take
Go running wild
Go wherever your heart leads you
Sweet Little Child
You were born to be free

Sweet Little Child
There’ll be times in your life
When you just got to do what you got to do
Sweet Little Child
It won’t always be your cup of tea
That I can surely guarantee
Sometimes certain things they just got to be

Sweet Little Child
Everybody will not vouch
Your running wild
Because it kinda cramps their style
Sweet Little Child (Remember that)
Free indeed you are

Sweet Little Child
The world’s getting crazier by the day
Nobody can really say
That they’re free from the sorrow and pain that it brings
Sweet Little Child
When the world gets on your case
‘N all this joy and happiness will vanish without a trace (when that happens)

Sweet Little Child
Remember all those times
That you were running wild
Just like you should have
Sweet Little Child(Don’t you forget)
You were born to be free

SECRET OF LIFE

(Lyrics & music by Sunil Noronha)

The best things in life don’t end only fortunate men’s strife
Which is why as the saying goes, they come free
The best you can do is work with what you’ve got
You know you can’t get more than what you can get
The best way through the hustle and bustle of your blues
Is to keep yourself happy with an eye out for more when it comes through
Someday you’ll find, somewhere down the line
That all the fuss was just too much
You didn’t have to go all the way

This life may be tough if you’re trying hard enough
To turn the tables on a plan that’s able to turn it into a cake walk
In case you haven’t found then take a look around
You’ll find the world fine and happy not trying to make it snappy
In their search for the secret of life

Everybody’s got a place to which they can trace
Their darkest fears, their deepest secrets and the secret dreams they see
When you get to find that place of yours in time
It’ll all be clear why you are here and why you must do what you should
There’s a plan all laid out that won’t fade out
It’s just lying there for you to use
It’ll drive away your purpose of life blues
The best way for you to find what’s in store for you down the line
Is to mix and match and keep only the stack of what you like

This life may be tough if you’re trying hard enough
To turn the tables on a plan that’s able to turn it into a cake walk
In case you haven’t found then take a look around
You’ll find the world fine and happy not trying to make it snappy
In their search for the secret of life

If you find a heavy price on something you like
If you really want it and you got to have it, don’t think about it twice
Go straight for the kill
Go on and climb that hill
It’s yours if you’d have it
If it be your will
The problem these days is that they are filled with haze
That tell us to work around troubled days instead of a price to pay
The thing with what you earn is that you learn the value of what it is that you have earned

This life may be tough if you’re trying hard enough
To turn the tables on a plan that’s able to turn it into a cake walk
In case you haven’t found then take a look around
You’ll find the world fine and happy not trying to make it snappy
In their search for the secret of life

WHY IS ALL YOU CAN ASK

For souls so unworthy,He came down to die
So that we all can have eternal life
No amount of rationale will help you understand
the kind of love that he brought down
Motives, desires, interests, obligations
duties, pain and suffering
They dictate the extremes and the limitations
of the love we know and give
The love that He brought down, the love from above
has got love, love, love and only love
You will not be able to understand it until you come to feel
the awe of its silence when you ask why

Why is all you can ask when you see that you knew it all along
Why is all you can ask when you feel the love of God so strong
Why is all you can ask when you fully know the love of God above
Why is all you can ask when you open your eyes to God's love

People are looking for that kind of love, they need to understand
That it comes from the Great God above
not from the heart of any man
You cannot evaluate it, you cannot rate it
You are blind if you underestimate it
It's an ability sought, one far too great to ever have
Too much to weigh before you can decide to pay

Why is all you can ask when you feel the awe of its silence
Why is all you can ask when you feel the love of God so strong
Why is all you can ask when you fully know the love of God above
Why is all you can ask when you open your eyes to God's love.

SUSTAINED INJURIES

(Lyrics and music by Sunil Noronha)

In my life, there's no one to prove myself to
I've to keep myself fully satisfied
That I've used what I've been given well
and will be able to give an account to god
because he gave it all to me
But I don't want to be the greatest or the best there ever was
Whatever the yardstick is according to all the rest
I just want to have the best time that I can
Don't want to be a part of the competition
Because life's a race to run, not a race to be won
And I don't want to have tried to hard and
sustain injuries that would cripple me just enough to allow a limp
And I don't want to have not tried something at all
and regret later that I did
I want to keep the proportion of my ventures to my refusals just right
So when its time for me to go, I can leave regret light
I want to reach the finish line without sustained injuries
Don't want to be a part of the competition
Because life's a race to run, not a race to be won

Some people don't do what they'd like but they do everything that
It takes to show the world that they're better than somebody else
The injuries they sustain when they have proved their point
Takes away everything that makes it worth its while
Nowadays you lose too much if you're intentions aren't kept up with those I just mentioned
You might even lose what you deserve otherwise
But when Jesus comes again I know He's going to judge me on
The trail I left behind, not how far from the finish line I am

A GREATER AMOUNT OF FAITH WILL NEVER SUFFICE FOR A MIRACLE

(Lyrics and music by Sunil Noronha)

My Bible tells me that, God, He'll provide all I need
and what else I deserve depending on how
I'm willing to bleed for his sake
It also tells me that He knows better than me
what I should have because my existence
hence its rules he has made
But He doesn't want to force it down my throat
He wants me to accept willingly his decree
frankly speaking there's no other way it works
He allows me to ask Him for what I want
and He gives what I need
without much glamour even otherwise
Sometimes I let myself get the better of me
Sometimes I believe in happiness above its availability
But then a closer look at the mentioned reality tells me that
a greater amount of faith will never suffice for a miracle

God is insistent on willingness, He'd rather have none
till he can get it all convinced out
and He will if pressed on upon because the lack of it
Being willing is worth it, God knows
and He wants you to know too that
you'll never be able to know better than Him
and that He won't cost you your dreams
His ways are much greater than you can comprehend
He knows your heart-He wants you to be happy
He will honour its good intentions
He knows how much and more is bad for you
He'll show you bad it is for you if you drive Him to it
No, you don't want top go down there
You don't want to let unnecessity surround you there
Then you'll have to regret knowing
when you can't use that
a greater amount of faith will never suffice for a miracle.

THE MUSIC TALKS

Ballads of upliftment, Ballads of pain
We sing them to ourselves and go through it all over again
Ballads of joy, Ballads of hope, Ballads of faith, Ballads stating claims
We wouldnt be so insecure about if they give us what we say they do
Ballads of conformation, Ballads of truth
about how we can use a change in point of veiw
because we can only see through
Ballads of self elevation which keep us high above reality
at where the truth just isn't the same
We can hold our ground-as a statement of our faith
We can show that we wont budge-that we don't appreciate
the ways of the world
but the truth wouldn't come about
if there was nothing to oppose it
we would only prove ourselves
contradictory to what we beleive in
because our only victory should be soul acheiving
but the only lost and broken souls
whom we will find will be those
who have their mind set on validation with reality
before its anything to beleive in

Your actions speak heavily of what you mean
Your words speak even louder
A song can cut right through a heart
It can cut right right through to a soul
It can be what'll make it whole
Your songs are doing me any good
I'm looking for something to reciprocate
my search for the truth and they aren't helping
They only help me consolidate my stand in faith
They dont help me fight against and win over
The forces that make me need to

Come on get up from your slumber
The world needs to know
The truth without a blunder
so that on their way they may go
because they are looking for it and
Sometime, somewhere they say to themselves
that have to find it before they move on
they either find or look for their own way around it
because the only way is right through it
so they settle for what works for them
and they'll most probably never know that
that the truth was told to them all along
they would know it if they would only
look underneath the masquerade
of love and pride and what it can generate
but reality they wont appreciate
only because they're too blind to see

The music talks, the truth it shouts out loud
The music talks, it drowns the rest with its sound
The music talks, by your inhibitions if you abide
The music talks, it'll show what your hiding inside

THIS WAY NO ONE GETS HURT

I've offered my services, you said you don't want to use them
yousaid you'll manage on your own
I've been where you are, I know what you need
I could have done withit when I was there
But no one told, no one told me like I'm telling you now
I just didn't listen to them or use help from around
I just want you to know
That I'm at your back door
Anytime you want you can let me in
because I know only when
You can appreciate what I'm saying
When you do what I'm praying for you to
You can take me for all that I have
That's how this works the best
This way no one gets hurt

The offer's always on the table, you can use it
when you're as sure as I am that you need it
There's something you need to know
I'd rather tell you now than later.
on't depend on it, as if it's going to carry you through
Even if it does towards the end, you'll have to bid it adieu
because on that day
When he comes to see who can be taken away
You're not allowed to count on my love,
you'll be on your own
That's why love works only when

You can appreciate what I'm saying
When you do what I'm praying for you to
You can take me for all that I have
That's how this works the best
This way no one gets hurt

LUCKY TO KNOW THE TRUTH

You've been told all you know
You dont need to know anymore
Where you come from the world
pretty much revolves around
that much and nothing more
It never did cross your mind to say
"Why is the world this way"
Your peace of mind never depended on it
because you had enough in you head to keep it away

You've been privileged too long too recognize
the earnest thought being read in the minds of people
as they watch you as if they can see deep inside
You've been lucky, you've only been lucky
Lucky to know the truth

They've never known what theyve always wanted to
They can tell when something's what they need
But they can't keep looking for it for too long
lest life passes them by and leaves them
in need of something more.

They cannot afford to stop and think about
What they were looking for because they couldn't find
Anyway, they'd have the least to lose if they tell themselves
that life goes on anyway

You've been privileged too long too recognize
the earnest thought being read in the minds of people
as they watch you as if they can see deep inside
You've been lucky, you've only been lucky
Lucky to know the truth

Sometime they're going to make that final attempt
to figure it all out, before jumping in with the rest
of the world who just don't care anymore
who make sense when they can and
when they can't, they make sure that life goes on anyway
But they'll never know that
it lies where they once thought it did
They didn't go down that way
because it didn't seem like it

You've been privileged too long too recognize
the earnest thought being read in the minds of people
as they watch you as if they can see deep inside
You've been lucky, you've only been lucky
Lucky to know the truth

WHEN HE SCRATCHES

Those wounds on his hands
Those wounds on his feet
The pain he went through just for you and me
Those wounds of unrepairable pain
Love that can never be set right again
The most that mankind will ever see
That sacrifice of self for the world
So that from sin for eternity
If they take its name with faith, they can be free
All of this we can never repay
Neither can anything we say
He only wants gratitude for his fee
The kind that you help you're self with first
The kind that you don't need to make a mention of
Because it's already seen

When you don't seem to get the point
When you throw away your link to grace
And live your life carelessly
It reminds him of the pain
It makes his wounds itch and when he scratches them
It doesn't relieve him of any
That's something he's willing to do
because he loves and care for you
He's just trying to bring it on easy
that the better you do, the less you pay
on that wonderful dayand that by grace
you can change any inadequacy
Love doesn't do any one any good
if they don't love themselves as they should
Anyway, in the end it's their price to pay
Good enough isn't going to cut it on that wonderful day
And there's no price then you can pay then to change that
The amount you have reminded him
of the pain of Calvary's cross
shows how good enough you are not

He makes the rules, he lays them down
He holds the key to heaven and there are no rules
that he's going to flout
He's only got love on the menu
until the time comes to lay all your choices
which you stand by
on the scale of justice
Then you're either taken up or left behind
depending on whether you're worthy or not
There are no more second chances'n
No more grace at your feet
The more pain you make him recall
The more further down you fall
from how worthy you should be
His only concern is that you should
earn you're way through to the other side.

WHEN I GO BACK HOME

It's been a long hard day
and the world doesn't seem to realize
thereason for the season
They're going about their normal days,
some of them making me go about mine
All I have to say to them is that
There's more to it than
anyone of them does know
That's what I hope to find when I go back home

We live in a crazy world
it doesn't let us keep time for each other
and let love pass through
We can only afford to
look around at our sisters and brothers
when we are just passing through
Let's not let the world get to this festival of love
I'd like to feel some when I go back home

Love doesn't come in pretty packages
bright shining hanging things that celebrate tradition
Love is when you share when you know that
someone's always there
eventhey don't necessarily need to
After the lights go down
the spirit of love doesn't die down
I'd like to feel it when I go back home.

BETWEEN A MONDAY MORNING AND A SATURDAY EVENING

He got up that Sunday morning with hope
that the place that he was going to
would be unlike the places that he had tried before
There was something that he wanted to know
which some people said he would find there
but they themselves didn't seem too excited about it all
All through his life he had known some people who went there regularly
but it never came across his mind
that this place would be what he was looking for
Because they came here every week
and it never seemed to help them
with what life offered during the rest of the week
Since he didn't have anything to lose
he decided to go anyway
Hoping to find what he wanted

He didn't want a religion,
No, he didn't want a set of rules
He just wanted to know something that would
give him even the slightest clue
to what life was supposed to be about
because he couldn't make sense of it anymore
If there was something after the end
that made it worth its while

He walked into the building a little early
because he had never been there before
incase there was something he should know
and he sat in the last row of benches
They sang about stuff that he had come here to find
but the music they sang it to
seemed like they themselves hadn't found it.
because they were singing about
something that they were passionate about
but the music that they sang it to wouldn't make him
want toscream and shout it out
The speaker spoke about love manifested on a wooden
love that united God and so that
man didn't have to look down to God anymore.
Those who came there regularly
only smiled and greeted
the people whom they knew

He didn't want a religion,
No, he didn't want a set of rules
He just wanted to know something
that would give him even the slightest clue
to what life was supposed to be about
because he couldn't make sense of it anymore
If there was something after the end
that made it worth its while

Before he could decide to talk to the speaker
he noticed someone who he knew
Someone who he knew
who came to this place regularly
He knew him well enough to know that
he didn't have what he wanted
So, he decided to walk away
Because he came here every week
and it never seemed to help him
with what life offered between a
Monday morning and a Saturday evening
He either ended up getting frustrated giving in as much
handling it in the way he would
or just staying away from it all
Surrounded by a world
Created by what he believed
But that's not what his life's about

He didn't want a religion,
No, he didn't want a set of rules
He just wanted to know something that would
give him even the slightest clue
to what life was supposed to be about
because he couldn't make sense of it anymore
If there was something after the end
that made it worth its while

ANYTIME

God knows what you’ve been upto
He’s watching you all the time
He really wants to bless you
He’s always keeping you in mind
Don’t you fear his anger now
Don’t think twice about his love
He’s willing to take you back in
If you fall out anytime

Turn around if you’ve turned back
Step back into his light
He’s waiting and watching
For when you will stop by
He’s waiting to give you all the riches
Of heaven and all the riches of Earth
Just walk into grace anytime

He’s ready to forgive you
And start all over again
You’ve only got to confess you did wrong
He doesn’t want to lose you
He holds you close to his heart
He loves you more than you’ll ever know

God knows what you’ve been upto
He’s watching you all the time
He really wants to bless you
He’s always keeping you in mind
He’s waiting to give you all the riches
Of heaven and all the riches of Earth
Just walk into grace anytime

COME BACK DOWN TO EARTH

I heard what you had to say, I like what you said
I can't help thinking about it because it's stuck in my head
It makes more sense than any other but they're created by premature
hopes too blind to realize that the starting point's down on earth
You're not able to tell me what I want to know
If you really want to then you'll have to come back down to earth

I'm not saying that what you're hoping for will never happen
I don't know any better but I know that it will come after this life.
You're saying that it may happen before I die
but you're not telling me how to get there from earth
Because you're so caught up with it, you seem to be there already

You're not able to tell me what I want to know
If you really want to then you'll have to come back down to earth.

You've always been so high up and you can't see
Why you tried so hard but you couldn't reach out to me
Reality is all I've ever known and the truth I can't deny
Come back down to earth, I've said it before
Now you know why.

You and I want to reach pretty much the same place
Only I don't know how to get there and you say you do
But the way you say you do contradicts
the fact that you're here on the earth
Because if God put you here, he would have meant it for you to stay

You're not able to tell me what I want to know
If you really want to then you'll have to come back down earth

I KNEW THAT HE'LL CARRY ME ALL THE WAY

How many times has he got you out of trouble?
How many times out of those were you looking down another way?
How many times just before them would you have said
"He's going to carry me all the way?"
"Yes, He will."
How many times is it going to
take Him to have you learn that He'll vouch for you
when you need him to
and that you have no reason to ever fret?
How many times are you going to fool around
and not learn that when you should?
Only unless you're not good
He's heard you say so many times
The irony stronger with the next
"I knew that, yes, I knew that He'd carry me all the way."

How many times is he going to cut you any more slack?
How many more times until he confirms you worst fear?
How many times till he runs out of grace to give
because he gets nothing in return?
He never said it was free.
How many times are people going to give up on Him
because they think you've seen enough to know?
How many times are you going to claim his name
because there nothing else you know that you believe in?
How many times are you going to take his name
only to make more people believe
He's only as good as your faith is in Him

He's heard you say so many times
The irony stronger with the next
"I knew that, yes, I knew that He'd carry me all the way."

How many times is he going to hold himself
from doing to you what he prevents being done?
How many times is he going to doubt Golgotha's cross for you?
How many more times is He going to take an inconsequential method with you?
In order to get it through
How many times, how many more times is it going to be?
How many times until His face you will be able to see?
How many times for you to look and learn see and do and know
so when he comes with him, you can go

He's heard you say so many times
The irony stronger with the next
"I knew that, yes, I knew that He'd carry me all the way."

UNDER THE CHRISTMAS TREE

(with Arul Baliah)

Rudolph had a bad day
His nose was white as snow
The seven dwarfs they helped him
Down that lonely road
He woke up in a discount store
And did the boogie all around
Money was clinking drinks were free
Under the Christmas tree
Under the Christmas tree
Under the Christmas tree
He was looking for his dreams
Under the Christmas tree

Zelda was a warrior
She could fight like a storm
When she went to battle
The whole world, it came along
Lil’ Bo Peep has lost her sheep
When the bulls and bears came down
And the wolf in Shepherd's clothing
Invited the neighbours in

Under the Christmas tree
Under the Christmas tree
Whims and dreams were scattered
Under the Christmas tree

On another tree in another time in another place as well
Hung the only Christmas gift that the shops will never sell
If you’re looking for your hopes and dreams and for your fancies too
You will find an answer that is looking for you

Under the Christmas tree
Under the Christmas tree
In the midst of all your pursuits
Under the Christmas tree

Under the Christmas tree
In the midst of all your selfishness
Under the Christmas tree
Under the Christmas tree

Under the Christmas tree
Find the sweet sweet love of Jesus
Under the Christmas tree
Under the Christmas tree

VOLUNTARY SUFFERING

You've seen it, you like it
You can have it if you want it
So go ahead and take it
You don't need any ones permission for it
It makes you happy and you know it
You were free to choose and you chose it
You'd love to get you hands on it
But being selfish, you're afraid of it
You know you weren't made to give glory to God in voluntary suffering

A mission, you've got to complete it
You've been given a choice, you've used it
The choice you made, go ahead and do it
Happiness, you have a right to it.
Only one life, you have it
God's service, you're to bring it
To the world, so they'll know it
Your own suffering not necessarily through it
You know you weren't made
to give glory to God in voluntary suffering

If you share with the world you dream to the world it just may seem that they don't necessarily have to give up theirs too.

JESUS MORNING BLUES

I got up this morning and said to my Jesus
”Jesus, thank you for this good day?”
Wont you stick with me all the way
Looking back at the week that went
I can surely say
That his angels he has sent
To keep me from harms way
I want to say it again and again and again
Oh, he’s so good

My Jesus, he loves me - loves me everyday
He’d give me shelter in a rainy day
Oh yeah uh huh let me tell you that
He’s gonna stick with me all the way
He’ll never let me out of his sight
Not for one second, no way

When in my knees, to him I pray
And then go on to face the day
The sun’ll shine on me, no,
There wont be any rain
Coz Jesus, Jesus is with me all the way

Let me tell you again
Jesus is my friend
He will be there for you
When you need a hand to lend
He’ll put his arms around you
Oh and all will be ok
You can go to him
If you life you have to mend

He’ll take all your problems
Heartaches and pain
He will let showers of blessing rain
Just lie in his arms and set your mind at ease
Coz it’ll be all right, it’ll all be ok

ALTERED AT THE ALTAR

I'm looking for a change
Coz my life this great big mess
Will it get altered at the altar?
It's got me spinning round in circles
It's driving me insane
Can it get altered at the altar?

I don't know , I don't understand
I hope God's got it all in his hands
I'm gonna cry my heart out
Just a touch of his hand

Lord, I'm here on my knees
I'm on my knees begging please
Will my life be altered at this altar?
I've never done anything like this before
I've never knocked so hard at the door
Can my life be altered at this altar?

I don't know , I don't understand
I hope God's got it all in his hands
I'm gonna cry my heart out
Just a touch of his hand

TAKE IT ALL

I want to serve you
I want to love you
I want to keep you close to my heart and never let you go
Come and heal me
And reveal me
Show me to where I must go
Jesus, this life is yours
Take it all, take it all and have your way
Jesus, you are the Lord
Of my life, everyday and in everyway

Jesus, come into
Into my heart now
Come on and take all my sins away
Make me holy
Purify me
Take all my guilt and shame

Jesus, this life is yours
Take it all, take it all and have your way
Jesus, you are the Lord
Of my life, everyday and in everyway

DO JUST WHAT HE SAYS

I know God's incharge
And He'll do just what he says
Yes He'll do just what he says in his Word
I don't need to fear the road ahead
When signs don't show because
He'll do just what he says
Yes He'll do just what he says in his Word

I don't need to see the end
When everybody else can
because He'll do just what he says
Yes He'll do just what he says in his Word

I can walk along and sing my song
And be sure that nothing will go wrong
because He'll do just what he says
Yes He'll do just what he says in his Word

You can laugh at me and call me a fool
But it wont be long
Until he does just what he says
Until he does just what he says in his Word
He said He'll provide all I need
He said he'll be on the top of every situation
He'll always have control over all that's happening
As long as you do just what he says
As long as you do just what he says in his Word

MY DEEPEST DESIRE

My deepest desire
My only wish
I’d do just anything
Anything for this
To know you, to know you
And keep you in my heart
To know you, to know you
And to never part
Ever since the day that Jesus came into my heart
My life took a turn that day to a brand new start
He said, “Tell me now child won’t you put your trust in me?”
I said to my master, “With all my heart, gladly”

My deepest desire
My only wish
I’d do just anything
Anything for this
To know you, to know you
And keep you in my heart
To know you, to know you
And to never part

Ever since Jesus came into my heart and turned things backed around
I’ve known in him a friend so dear
Now I’m heaven bound
He’s my secret, he’s my everything, he’s my all
With Him by my side, I know I cannot fall

My deepest desire
My only wish
I’d do just anything
Anything for this
To know you, to know you
And keep you in my heart
To know you, to know you
And to never part

THAT GIRL

From the first time I saw her taking the dog out for a walk
Till those ping pong evenings played out in the mess
I was blind to see, what I had in front of me
Then she moved away to another part of town
Then it hit that she wasn’t around anymore
No more walks up Alexander Street
Though just a phone call away,
I never had enough to say
Soon enough her father put that to rest too

That Girl, man, she makes me crazy
That Girl, thought I’d never get her of my mind
That Girl, made me see everything so hazy
That Girl, ooh – I was so blind

Now and then I get to see her when she comes this side of town
My little piece of heaven, Oh baby come on and blow my mind?
Your sweet blue eyes, Your beautiful smile
Do you know you’re a sweet little thing?
You sweet little thing wont you come and set me free?

That Girl, man, she makes me crazy
That Girl, thought I’d never get her of my mind
That Girl, made me see everything so hazy
That Girl, ooh – I was so blind

In life, you get things you can dodge
Or things you can just go around
But she ain’t anything like that now
Oh baby come on now – lets get it on
It’s the only way out, don’t you see?

That Girl, man, she makes me crazy
That Girl, thought I’d never get her of my mind
That Girl, made me see everything so hazy
That Girl, ooh – I was so blind

DON'T TELL ME WHATS ITS LIKE

All that you believed in
All that made life worthwhile
Got me believing
That lifes worthwhile
The reasons that you fought for
why life shouldn't be a drag
Purpose that you longed for
why life isn't a drag

A dream that proved
a burden too heavy to bear
Dont tell me now
that it was all not worthwhile
Time may have been tough on you
Maybe you just weren't strong enough
I beleive I'm tough enough
I wont know until I've tried
Don't tell me what its like

It's a risk anyway you look at it
You were just trying your luck
You didn't know, no, You didn't know
You didn't know
What did you have to lose
It's your life's biggest mistake I know
If you had just a little more faith
I dont want to see myself
done by time when I cant get it back

A dream that proved
A burden too heavy to bear
Don't tell me now
that it was all not worthwhile
Time may have been tough on you
Maybe you just weren't strong enough
I beleive I'm tough enough
I wont know until I've tried
Don't tell me what it's like

PRINCESS CHARMING

I know a boy who'd like to call himself a man
nobody can know him better than I ever will
He has this girl in mind with whom his obsession
he attributes to reasons passed
She has the most beautiful pair of hands that he's ever seen
Funkily clad, he can never want her more
Oh, does he love his women with spunk
Mama, does she have it all just right?
And the touch of her hand, man,
does it make him feel good with no obscene intention
He's done all he can but
she doesn't seem to think he's worth a mention

I know a girl, she's been the queen of many peoples world and that's a figure running
It seems to me that she's been handed a disposition
she's gotten used which she wants to shrug off
But she doesn't know which one to put on in its place
She doesn't know of one that she even understands
She's always had expectations pressed down upon her
Having pleased them, she's never really tasted what she wants
Not that she never tried but she must have
turned away because itseemed too scary
Not that she doesn't want it any more because
she gets enough from a boy she could end up marrying.

I do believe that they deserve each others company
not that they don't have it at all
She turns to him when she needs a dose of reality
He's always around so she doesn't have to look too far
They both share the same purpose but she uses it as a break
He wants it to last much longer
If not forever then anything close enough
Long enough worth trying for at first consideration
If the truth sets you free and love is true
It should free them from the pain of having to do with
Only what they can get when they need something to
live on to do what they want to

Woman, don't you know you're my princess charming?
Woman, it hurts so bad, I've had to speak in third person
Woman, I won't be able to live with this for too long now
Woman, I'd hate to let you go, I'd hate to let you go, hate to let you go

AROUND HERE

Life is tough, life ain't fair, life ain't just, life ain't easy
Between you and me, we can show that we ain't gonna please it
Take my hand, lets walk hand in hand
Together we can afford to tease it
You won't lose much if you reach out and touch
On yourself, you would only ease it
But around here, things get tougher
Around here, it gets a lot rougher
Around here, too many people
can't afford to have another's concern
Neither do they make it easy on any body else

If you're in, be my saving grace, if you're out stay out of my face
I don't mind if you're willing to be kind
On your motive,no contract's been signed
If you abstain, I'll understand, I'd like to know who's going to stand
By my side so that when I need some assistance they will heed

Around here, most people are making courtesy calls
Around here, what people need is intention overhauls
Around here, I'd like some sincere honesty
To tell me or not who's in the fray

Around here, the worlds all in grey
Around here, I never find myself to be able to say
That around here, I can rest my head and
Say at least not too often that
"I'm on my way, I'm on my way, I'm on my way"

YOUR'E A VICTIM OF SOMEONE ELSES WISHES,HE'S A PRODUCT OF HIS OWN DREAMS

What music is, what its not, it'll be what it's always been
Something new comes around
because the world's state doesn't fit in
With its mood of constant wellbeing when the world is riding high
With troubles no generation before could have seen
and they wonder why it's all going down
Your mother used to tell you
She must have driven it into your head
Of the melodies of a golden time when all was well
Never did she think at all that the world would degrade
Into a place barren of love and joy and all that keeps us sane

It could have been you're father but what I know for sure
Is that sanity isn't the condition of present existence anymore
People substitute it with a lot of things and tell themselves lies
They'll eventually have to realize that they're the only people who they can't fool

You've got so many people behind you
They like their music so soft and sweet
'That's what we call music", they say
"Bring our hearts down a beat"
You oblige and you have been doing so all along
That's been the key toyour survival
Since they either make you or break you do as your told
so you don't end up singing on the streets

That boy in the corner of this scenario
He's as good as anyone else out there.
He'll outlast everyone including you
He has an advantage in his case
His passion isn't driven into him
It's a choice he made of his own will.
He won't die disappointed even if he never gets to perform

He's most probable to stop any when he can't do on any more
He die with music in his soul
It doesn't matter if his dreams ever come true
He holds them in his own hands
Yours are in the hands of all those behind you
You're a victim of someone else's wishes
He's a product of his own dreams

Stick around, you'll see him go far beyond
You may not be able to congratulate him
He's all ready, it's only you who's in his way
If you really want to help get out of his way

SOMEONE CLOSE TO YOUR HEART

Friendships don't come common interests bound
Friends don't have fun because they don't mind having each other around
To like is being selfish for another, to love is to give, to whom is of no bother
One may change their contexts but the difference will still remain
between someone close to your heart and some one who wouldn't matter otherwise.

You may mix them up so that they satisfy you
so that you'll never ever be alone when you don't want to
But soon enough when it all falls through and times get rough who will you turn to?

One may change their contexts but the difference will still remain
between someone close to your heart and some one who wouldn't matter otherwise.

You may have shoulders to cry on
People who are around anyway
Who give you what you need to be back upon your feet
but then you go back again
To the same people who send you back again sometime
Like a pill, like a drug, which lasts you nothing but bad side effects

One may change their contexts but the difference will still remain
between someone close to your heart and some one who wouldn't matter otherwise.

THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO GIVE

It's really quite simple
It's all laid out in front of you
You can take your pick
but with all that comes along too
There'd be a pinch of discipline in all the fun you'd find
You're bound to run into some somewhere down the line
Somewhere down the line
I'd really like it too without all the consequences
I'd really like it but you can take only what you get
I can see your pain, I can feel your pain
But I've got my own disappointments to deal with
before I can tend to yours
You can see this smile on my face because I'm in control
Just a little more weight to bear and I'll lose it all
Theres nothing behind it all, nothing that you dont know
Nothing you've never seen before

I take pride in fending for myself
I think it is my greatest strength
I believe in real love
Don't pity me
I'm not very fond of courtesy
You either care or you dont
You wouldn't be disappointing if you don't
Paying lifes dues isn't something I would endorse
Get in line or get out of the way
I like the truth straight up, undistorted and in the face
I'm no stranger to your thoughts
I know just how you feel
But what would I do
There's really nothing I can do
If I save your skin all the time when will I save mine

You can see this smile on my face because I'm in control
Just a little more weight to bear and I'll lose it all
Theres nothing behind it all, nothing that you dont know
Nothing you've never seen before

We are all up against the same thing
I'm as afflicted as you are
Thats all I have to give...

TRIPPIN' ON MY DAY

I saw the sun shining through my window pane
when I got out of bed this morning
I said to myself, "What a beautiful day"
Hot tea brewing on a metal stove
A mug is all I need to put my soul from my troubles far away
Come on now, won't you give me a hand?
I feel like I’m on No Man’s Land
Am I the only one who feels this way inside?
Speak your mind, set yourself free
You deserve your liberty
This is not only one man’s stand

I’m trippin' on my day
You don’t want to intrude on my space, oh no
So many miles away
In this place you'd want to go to
Why don’t you just say that
you want to break free too
I’m just trippin', trippin' on my day

All these small little things that don't mean a thing
they just aren’t worth your time
No loss, no gain, safety for a price
That’s not worth breaking your mind
Don’t talk about responsibility, ambition, goals or drive
It doesn’t verify in my mind just because its recognized
All things aren’t right because they are well organized
If you want to have soul, you've got to trust
how it comes from inside
When you don’t know yourself, you can't be right
neither can you blame me for being wrong
The best we can do is support each other as we go along

I’m trippin' on my day
You don’t want to intrude on my space, oh no
So many miles away
In this place you'd want to go to
Why don’t you just say that
you want to break free too
I’m just trippin', trippin' on my day

Do you see the free me
Do you want to be me
Do you want to pull me down in too
Do you want to control me, have a hold on me
Tell me that it's not all true
Tell me that it's a lie and that the reason why
is because I’m running away
From what's real but it seems quite clear
that I’m just cramping you style
I don't know who's in control
but there’s nothing I can take back home
My share of the pie,no, is no lie
It’s got to be worth while

I’m trippin' on my day
You don’t want to intrude on my space, oh no
So many miles away
In this place you'd want to go to
Why don’t you just say that
you want to break free too
I’m just trippin', trippin' on my day

SOMEBODY TO RUN TO

I've had a lot of things on my mind lately and they've been greatly troubling me
I can't get sleep coz I keep seeing them in my dreams (over and over again)
I don't see a reason why in such a troubled state is my life
Do you see what I mean?
And when the day is over and gone
And I'm heading on my way home
And I've got these blues overwhelming me
I wish I had, somebody, somebody to run to
Somebody to run to who understands my scene
Somebody to run to who'd see just what I mean
Somebody who'll lift my blues away

I've got dreams coming out of ears lately, just too many for me to handle
My head's ringing with ideas that'll take me there
If there were only so many hours in a day
This is what I've been breaking my head over over
It just had to come right now – all of it together
Do you see what I mean?
And when I get my act together
And when I get a hold of my dreams
And I can't contain the joy that comes along
I want to have, somebody, somebody to run to
Somebody to run to who'll jump with joy with me
Somebody to run to who'd dream these very dreams
Somebody who'd join me in this game

My feet are getting tired in the cold and the gloom
This world's so hard to be inspired by and there's no value for the soul
My heart is oh so weary coz time and time again I see
That nobody in their right mind wants to make the effort to be the one

You've got to hope for hope with hope before you can have any hope at all
You've got to cross that river to the other side of there lies your call
I just got to do what my heart tells me to
That's the only way I know to be
Do you see what I mean?
In the midst of the strong current
I don't want anybody's sympathy
This is my place, my war to wage
I'd like to find, somebody, somebody to run to
Somebody to run to who follows his heart with pride
Somebody to run to who'd fight right by my side
Somebody who'd stick with me all the way

A CAROLER'S ANTHEM

I've come from far far away
To sing you a song or two
And it's freezing outside
Great many hours I've travelled
It's raining outside
And I'm a 'knocking at your door
Dont mean to disturb
Just got a little
Got a little love to give
Wont you let me in?

Down the line sometime
God said it was time
For your life and mine
to be set right
So If you're having a blast
If you're having a ball
If you're having yourself
A good time in all
Let me sing you how the...

Greatest love that you'll ever see was
Bestowed upon you and me

NO SOLUTION FOR YOUR SOUL

Hey Hey, Talk about a crazy crazy day
Hey Hey, Can you see it written all over my face
You know, I can only dream it seems of the life I want to lead
When I go to bed at night these days, it ain’t nothing like it seems
Now listen to me baby
You better listen to me good
If you think life’s waiting to embrace you
It ain’t nothing like it should
If you drown yourself, drown yourself in song
Thinking that it’ll help you get along
Then you’ll soon see that getting down is no solution for your soul at all
It’s no solution for your soul

Hey Hey, Here’s a little something you should know
Hey Hey, You can never tell when it’s going to blow
You know, this world’s getting crazier and crazier by the day
You never know when it’ll all boil over and hit you one fine day
What are you going to do when you find no peace of mind
If you look around and see the signs – you’ll see it’s about time

If you drown yourself, drown yourself in song
Thinking that it’ll help you get along
Then you’ll soon see that getting down is no solution for your soul at all
It’s no solution for your soul

Hey Hey, I see the blues have been bringing you down
Hey Hey, I can see’em written all over your frown
You know, when it’s hard and you have to rough it out all the way
There’s really not a word of consolation, that to you, I can say
The only thing left to say is that the only way out
Is to fight those blues, fight those blues before you parody them in song

If you drown yourself, drown yourself in song
Thinking that it’ll help you get along
Then you’ll soon see that getting down is no solution for your soul at all
It’s no solution for your soul
